Cookies Policy
This policy explains how cookies and similar storage technologies are used across Rentral.
1. About this policy
This Cookies Policy explains how Rentral Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies across its websites, localized pages, marketplace, account areas, and business dashboard. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which allow information to be saved on your browser or device.
This policy should be read together with the Rentral Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
2. Why we use these technologies
We use cookies and browser storage to:
- Operate requested website and account features
- Maintain authenticated sessions and secure requests
- Help prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Remember language, region, appearance, and dashboard preferences
- Preserve temporary service messages during page redirects
- Provide maps, address search, billing, and payment-related features through service providers
3. First-party cookies and storage currently used
Authentication and security cookies
Where applicable, Rentral's authentication infrastructure may set first-party session or security cookies. These cookies maintain sign-in state, secure requests, and help protect accounts and the Services. Their names and duration may vary according to the environment and security configuration. They may last for a browser session or for the period reasonably required to provide sign-in and security features.
NEXT_LOCALE
This first-party cookie remembers your selected language and regional preference and helps direct you to the appropriate localized pages. It lasts for up to 12 months.
rentral-theme
This local-storage item remembers whether you selected the light, dark, or system appearance setting. It remains until you change the preference or clear the site's stored data.
rentral.dashboard.bookings.locationIdentityId
This local-storage item remembers the selected business location in eligible dashboard booking views. It remains until it is replaced, removed by the application, or cleared from your browser.
rentral.api-error.flash
This session-storage item carries a temporary service or account error message across a page redirect. It is removed after being read, when the browser session ends, or when site data is cleared.
4. Third-party services
Some pages use services provided by third parties. Those providers may place or read their own cookies or similar technologies. Their cookie names, purposes, and retention periods are controlled by them and may change.
Google Maps Platform
Pages that provide maps, location search, or address autocomplete may load Google Maps services. Google may receive technical and interaction information and may use cookies or similar technologies according to Google's Privacy Policy and cookies information.
Stripe
When you choose a payment, subscription, billing portal, or provider-onboarding feature, you may be redirected to a Stripe-hosted page. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies according to Stripe's Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.
5. Advertising and analytics
As of the effective date below, the Rentral frontend does not include standalone advertising pixels or analytics cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any notice, consent request, or preference controls required by applicable law.
6. Your choices
Most browsers allow you to view, delete, or block cookies and clear local or session storage. These controls are generally available in your browser's privacy or site-data settings. Private browsing modes also generally remove site data when the private session ends.
Blocking or deleting strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, security, billing, localization, or other requested features from working correctly. Clearing preference storage means you may need to select your language, theme, or dashboard location again.
You may also use privacy controls made available directly by Google, Stripe, and other third-party providers.
7. Retention and policy changes
We retain information stored through these technologies only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, subject to security, fraud-prevention, contractual, and legal requirements. Server records associated with a cookie or session may be retained separately as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may update this policy when our Services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will revise the last-updated date and provide additional notice or request consent when required by applicable law.
